Mark Galea Pace, the driving force behind the environmental NGO Coast is Clear, has in recent months expanded the organisation’s clean‑up efforts from the coastline to Malta’s countryside.

The Alfred Mizzi Foundation has long supported Coast is Clear and has recently financed the full refurbishment of the NGO’s vehicle, as well as the purchase of several tools used by its many volunteers.

Over the past few years, in addition to removing debris and waste from rural areas, Coast is Clear has also planted more than 1,500 saplings across various locations around the island.
