For the fifth year in succession The Alfred Mizzi Foundation with the support of Kitchen Concepts Ltd. prepared a delicious Christmas Day meal for hundreds of vulnerable and marginalised families and individuals.
This Christmas Day lunch which has been held at the Archbishop’s Curia in Floriana this year adapted to realities we are facing and rather than providing for the hundreds who filled he wide corridors of the Curia will be delivering to hundreds of homes across the Island.
Prepared by a team of some 25 volunteers, all employees of Kitchen Concepts, at the Vecchia Napoli kitchen in Salini, the menu this year consists of Baked Lasagne, Stuffed Roast Turkey and Panettone. The ingredients for this meal were once again generously provided by Alf. Mizzi & Sons Marketing Ltd., Valhmor Ltd. and Green Supplies.
Christmas morning will be a busy one as 850 meals will be delivered to some 500 homes. Thank fully the strong and efficient network of volunteers which performed so successfully for Solidarity Meals will be back in force expertly coordinated by Caritas (Malta) to ensure that all sit down to a hearty and happy Christmas lunch.
