Solidarity Meals is winding down its free meal service after almost four months. The Alfred Mizzi Foundation (TAMF) set up this operation with the outbreak of the COVID pandemic mid way through March. It’s mission defined in its slogan Ikla bnina kuljum – a good meal every day.

Working closely with Caritas (Malta), Alf.Mizzi & Sons (Marketing) Ltd.  and Vecchia Napoli, Solidarity Meals prepared and delivered some seventy five thousand (75,000) meals to vulnerable persons not able to leave their homes and others who in one way or another were badly affected by the pandemic.

The Alfred Mizzi Foundation advised that it the service would not be stopped completely and would go on, with its partners, to provide good hearty meals to those still very much in need.

TAMF takes this opportunity to thank all those who have helped make this possible: staff and volunteers, and many generous donors, foremost amongst whom The St. Peter Foundation which donated hundreds of kilos of fish and so many farmers who together Contributed truckloads of fresh vegetables.
